On the outskirts of Tarangire National Park this school serves over 600 children from neighboring bomas.  Like so many other schools across Tanzania, although it is a government school, the $3 per student it receives annually leaves it with many needs.

Grand Circle Foundation has been able to build toilets and a kitchen, a water catchment system with storage tanks, provide desk and chairs, smokeless cooking pots and solar lighting in addition to the school supplies such as books,  chalk and administrative supplies.

Deforestation is a devastating occurrence across Tanzania.  In response, Grand Circle Foundation has planted 100 trees annually at each of our partner schools.  This serves a dual purpose by benefitting the environment and also since many are fruit trees, they eventually provide food for the students as well.
