Located on Viti Levu, the largest and most populous island in the archipelago of Fiji, Sigatoka serves as an educational center for the South Pacific nation.

When Grand Circle Foundation launched a partnership with the Sigatoka District School in 2009,  it was greatly in need of renovations. Foundation funds repaired a damaged roof and installed ceiling fans for the classrooms. Computers, uniforms and a sound system were funded, and a covered walkway from the road was built.

As part of our WASH initiative, a new toilet block was built, which the school was very thankful for. Below is a note from the school.

On behalf of the school children, teachers, parents and the committee of the school we would like to convey your head office the GCT team and all members of the foundation our most sincere appreciation for your gift of FJD$15,000.00 to built a new toilet block for the girls.

The project has been completed and we gave Mr. Ben Vakili, your Tour Guide the honor to do the opening. We now have 2 toilet blocks, one each for the boys and girls. The toilet facilities we have now has lifted the standard of our school to one of the best in our province. The children are very excited about the new facilities. Thank you very much for the donation.Thank you,
