Raqchi school is located in Huayllabamba, a village of 1000 people.

The small town of Raqchi sits high on windswept plains overlooking the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Amid its peaceful and calm lifestyle, the residents farm the land, create traditional pottery, and weave vivid textiles.

Partnership with Grand Circle Foundation renovated classrooms, constructed new bathroom facilities, a kitchen, a storage room for food donated by the government, a greenhouse and a computer lab. We also built a fence around the school and painted all the exteriors.

We purchased all the necessary equipment for the new kitchen and new furniture for the dining hall.

We’ve also purchased new desks and chairs, along with traditional folklore costumes for the children, to help preserve their culture by practicing traditional dance and music and participate in local competitions.
