California has more than 100 federally recognized tribes, and 700,000+ Native Americans living there.

The mission of  the Native American Land Conservancy is to acquire, preserve and protect Native American sacred lands through protective land management, educational programs, and scientific study. Their goal is to engage multiple tribal interests to empower tribal community members and organizations in advocacy efforts to protect public lands.

Through our partner, the Conservation Lands Foundation (CLF), $50,000 was granted to enable the Native American Land Conservancy, one of more than 65 locally-based community groups that CLF works with, to hire a full-time staff member.
