The NamibRand Nature Reserve, located in southern Namibia, is a private nature reserve established to help protect and conserve the unique ecology and wildlife of the south-west Namib Desert.

Overcome by its beauty during a 1996 visit, and recognizing the importance of this unique landscape, Alan and Harriet bought 50,000 hectares of this Reserve and donated the funds to purchase an adjoining farm to ensure the continuation of this wildlife sanctuary. One of Southern Africa’s largest private nature reserves, the Namibia Rand Nature Preserve seeks to provide a natural habitat without fences, allowing wildlife to roam their habitat freely. We support the Reserve’s efforts to conserve and protect the unique ecology and biodiversity of this exceptional environment for now and into the future.
