Kapane Secondary school is in the village next to Ziga Primary and has become the secondary school all Ziga Primary graduates progress to.

It was a logical step for us to partner with Kapane Secondary school.

To address the need for clean water systems and to provide long-term accessible and safe groundwater sources for the school we installed a solar pump, solar panels, water tanks and piping to the school to provide drinking water on tap for the students, vegetable garden and for further development in the community at large.

In an encouraging new development for students at Kapane Secondary School, a double dormitory for So Others May Learn-sponsored girls has just been completed at the school. The dormitories will sleep up to twenty girls and were kindly sponsored by Grand Circle Foundation, who also sponsor a number of students at Kapane Secondary School

We have also funded the construction of a dormitory to house 20 girls since many were bush boarding in make shift accommodations at various homesteads in properties around the school with no adult supervision to avoid the 15km walk to school.  This gives the girls a safe environment to pursue a secondary education.

And of course if the girls are boarding, they need a place to clean up so we built a block of showers and toilets to ensure they had adequate hygienic sanitary facilities.
