Situated 18kms from Victoria Falls itself this infrastructure provides the following:
• Sport & Play – Two Multisport Courts; Football Field; Playground
• Clean Water to Surrounding Villages & Nutritional Community Gardens
• Tree Nurseries and Chaya Tree project
And the following:
Women and Youth Creative & Empowerment Centre – we provide skills training to women and
youths in the rural communities as well as setting up income generating projects
• Skills Training – Beadwork; Embroidery; Sewing; Jewelry Making;
• Community Workshops and Training Courses
• Environment, Conservation & Health club
Education, IT & Innovation Hub – an area where the youth of our area can access:
• Daily English Literacy classes
• Maths and Science tuition
• IT – Laptops/iPads with wifi access to thousands of educational and vocational programs as
well as an online library, games and movies.
• Innovation Hub – Critical skills thinking, coding and robotics
Women’s Refuge – the first place of safety for women and girls in our district/State
• 20 bed secure facility with recreational, dining, kitchen, laundry and ablution facilities
• Secure courtyard nutritional food garden
• Skills learning and ability to earn income whilst staying at the facility
Jafuta Foundation Aspirations: To continue to support community-driven development goals by
investing in water, community gardens, education, vocational skills training, school and community
health, sanitation improvement, development of youth and women’s opportunities, mitigation of
human/wildlife conflict, environmental management and wildlife conservation.
