This leading climate advocacy group for the snowsports community is building a movement against climate change.

Protect Our Winters gives a national voice to winter tourism, an industry that supports 900,000+ jobs and creates $66 billion in economic revenue. Their mission focuses on educational initiatives, advocacy and community-based activism.

A portion of the funding provided by the Lewis Family Foundation was used to fund a senior position to grow the organization and provide senior level operations and strategic leadership to the organization with a focus on the POW Riders Alliance.  The Rider’s Alliance is one of their most effective programs to mobilize a young constituency to take action on climate change and other environmental issues.
