The Arin school in Peru is located in the Urubamba region at 9000 feet above sea level.

Due to the school’s elevation, the UV index (or exposure to UV radiation) is very high at 10.  This poses a concern since the higher the index the greater the chance for sun damage.

To help combat this, Grand Circle Foundation funded the installation of a UV Sun Shade Sail in the playground to help limit the children’s exposure to the sun’s harmful rays.

To help children who’s family can not afford the cost of a uniform, Grand Circle Foundation funded the 2nd grade class with everything from undergarments to shoes, ensuring that each child is fully outfitted and the family has one less thing to worry about.
