Technology. How is GCF helping to bridge the divide
Imagine being born intelligent, curious, full of potential… and still being left behind simply because no one gave you access to a smart phone or a laptop.
That is the reality for far too many children.
In a world driven by technology, digital learning is no longer a privilege. It is no longer a bonus. It is no longer something “nice to have.”
It is the difference between moving forward… and being left standing still.
At Grand Circle Foundation, we have just invested over 60 million Tanzanian shillings to bring technology and WiFi to 6 schools in Karatu along with 22 mill shs in 3 schools in Kenya.
Because this is not about laptops, projectors, or internet access.
This is about justice and equality.
This is about a child in rural East Africa getting the same opportunity to compete, dream, learn, and succeed as a child anywhere else in the world.
If one child can research, explore, type, create, and connect with the world — but another cannot — then let us call it what it is:
not a learning gap, but an opportunity gap.
And opportunity gaps grow into poverty gaps……Into employment gaps….Into life gaps.
We cannot keep talking about education, while ignoring the reality that education itself has changed. The world has gone digital. Classrooms must too.
So yes, we brought technology.
Yes, we brought WiFi.
Yes, we opened doors. We continue to e a trailblazer, and our children that GCF supports are soaking up this new tech like sponges.
We help make the impossible possible.
Thank you so very much to all our donors who travel with Overseas Adventure Travel. You brought digital literacy to our classrooms in 10 schools.
“The digital divide is the new face of inequality.”
