Kenya and Tanzania Update for January – March 2025
As the end of March approaches, here’s a quick recap on what Grand Circle Foundation, East Africa has been up to:
- Every one of our 10 schools received stationery supplies to kick start 2025 totaling $68,000
- In Tanzania, all our children in Grade 7 received a solar study light which they can use at home to do homework, revision or read COST $5,000
- In Jan, 34 children on scholarships went back to school or University.
- We renovated classrooms and a kitchen and brought new uniforms for vulnerable students.
- We funded the building of 2 Early Years classrooms @ 30,000$
- We brought and delivered a much needed photocopier to Chief Lobulo for Eluway Primary School and learnt that when a child can touch their ear, they can go to school!!!!
- World Water Day, 22nd March.
- To commemorate the day, GCF partnered up with Wine||Water to distribute 152 life saving water filters and conduct training on safe water to over 110 families impacting over 1000 people.
- We also donated 40 filters to our 4 GCF schools impacting over 3000 children and teachers. @ 10,000$
- FACT. This ceramic water filter eliminates 99.99% of all known water borne pathogens!!
