This award from the Committee to Encourage Corporate Philanthropy, co-founded by the late Paul Newman and Ken Derr, recognized Grand Circle's innovative World Classroom initiative and the philanthropic engagement of the company's owners.

The New England Women's Leadership Award (NEWLA) honors women who have not only risen to positions of respect and influence, but who also have given back to their communities. Harriet Lewis received NEWLA's "Circle of Giving" Award.

Thompson Island Founders' Award 1998

 

Thompson Island, in Boston Harbor, is home to one of the few inner city Outward Bound centers in the country. This award is given to those whose dedication and leadership have enriched the lives and improved the education of youth in need.
