ENewsletter February 2012

As travelers, we have always believed in the importance of connecting with people around the world. Grand Circle Foundation was born of our desire to make a positive difference in the lives of those who have opened their communities to us. In this issue, you'll learn how associates in Boston and Africa are helping us carry out that mission—and how travelers to India were inspired to help on their own. You'll also learn about a dear friend and mentor who devoted his life to preserving the memory and dignity of those who died in the Holocaust: a Holocaust survivor himself, our late Honorary Director Kazimierz Smolen.

Recognizing Gutsy Leaders

We believe that true leadership can come from anywhere—from boardrooms to classrooms, from City Hall to city streets. It takes guts to change the world … and our leaders are helping to do so, each in their own unique way.

Kazimierz Smolen
Former Director, Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum; Honorary Director, Grand Circle Foundation

Find out more in our tribute to our late Honorary Director, who died on International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
