When complete, the cooperative will change lives in Don Chum by creating jobs, providing nutrition, and generating income through the sale of produce and other agricultural products (such as eggs, fish, and seeds for farmers).

Project Updates

EgyptIt's Not too Late to Help the Women of Bearat, Egypt, Earn a Living Wage  We've exceeded our first goal of $2000—now, help us reach $5000 to fund 5 sewing and embroidery machines and training for 10 women. We're matching donations through May 21, 2010—and because we charge no administration fee, 100% of our contributions will go directly to the village of Bearat.

Your Generosity is Helping to Feed an Entire Costa Rican Community
Thanks to you, we've achieved our goal of raising $13,000 for a water-supply system. But another aspect of Phase 3 remains to be completed: purchasing livestock and constructing and stocking a tilapia pond. Learn how your donation can help realize the vision of an entire community.
